Im using OpenOffice writer cos I don't have microsoft Word and dont know of any good free versions of microsoft Word.

Whenever I copy and paste text from a html web page it keeps adding it in in table rows and this is really getting on my nerves and is a bloody nuisance.

How do I stop it from adding these table rows?

Copy it into Notepad first maybe as a workaround? There might be an option in OpenOffice but I'm not aware of it as I don't use it too often.

Yeah I've noticed a problem with OO and webpages before for some reason when copying and pasting. It either puts in tables or it freezes altogether.
If you save the webpage to your computer and then open it using OO, it should
work fine then. I dunno why that happens.

In edit, there's an option to 'paste special'. In this you can click 'unformatted text'.

    Think that'll work.

When you paste use the paste special function in Edit! Then specify plain test or whatever...

Indeed, control+shift+v is the shortcut for paste special. I thought word did that nowadays too.
