    When is the Final cut being released for this ?

    I hear its sometime in 2007 but that could be Christmas..

    warner bro's bought back the film's rights, and can now release it, so they're working to release a new cut of it sometime soon (apparently on blu-ray and hd-dvd as well as dvd)... i thought it was due late last year but that never happened. i know ridley scott is involved though...

    I've the directors cut a few years now ,well worth having regardless of whats due out.
    Ridley scott is a master.

    Blade Runner is amazing film, a visual feast. Can't wait to see a proper copy remastered in 5.1 - a final cut would be nice. Apparently its going to be 4 discs - Theatrical version, Directors Cut, European 'extra violent' version, and 'Final Cut'. Not sure whats in the Final Cut, maybe fixing up a few of the lip synching issues and removing a few of the wires holding the cars. I hope the Holden in the Hospital scene isn't put back in..but Zhoras snake dance? mmm pity it wasn't shot! But the girls bubble dancing could be there in Taffys bar. And probably more animals on animoid row and the cyberpunks. Hopefully its not a CGI makeover though.
    I think Final Cut its due out May or June in Cinema and 4 disc box nearer November on DVD.

    Trivia: Watched The Empire Strikes Back at the weekend, noticed the scene where Luke is walking around Cloud City in the fight with Darth Vader has the exact same 'futuristic humming' sounds as the Deckards apartment in Blade Runner. Also one of the buildings in Blade Runner is actually the Millennium Falcon stood on its end and lit up!
