Traffic lights pointing in the wrong direction

I've seen a lot of traffic lights pointing incorrectly in the last few months.

Some would be a few degrees off so you can still see half the bulb but some are almost completly pointing in the wrong direction.

Is it the windy weather that does this or trucks hitting them?
Example would be the M50 sandyford junction near beacon hotel.
Surely using square poles rather than circular ones would stop this

    anyone else notice this?

It seems to be a wind thing.

    On my travels today noticed.

    N11/Cherrywood (nothing facing southbound)
    Shanganagh rd/River rd (facing river)

    Several city ones turned 45'o.

    Mount st/merrion sq hanging by a screw!

Another (potentially lethal) sign of the lack of respect for infrastructure and common property by our yobbish brethern?

Agreed. I've always found them to be quite responsive. Report blown/missing traffic light bulbs too.

It shouldn't be physically possible to turn a traffic signal around!

Are the lights also just clamped to round poles in some areas?!

So, what happens if a vehicle hits one set? Should it break or should the pole bend or what? What happens the other sets on that pole?

And when installing them first day, how do you adjust them to point in the right direction?
