hey, i'm gonna ask out a girl who hands me the paper. yes i know mad.
i cant stop and talk to her cos she works at a busy luas stop so i'd get in everyones way.
was thinking of handing her a note.
girls, have any ideas on what to say?

I'm not a girl but maybe you should strike up a conversation first? And asking people what to say pushes you closer to chat up line territory.

Which, outside the realms of drunken nightclubs, will get you precisely nowhere.

I know a friend of mine dated a guy who used to work in the canteen of her office who she never got to stop and talk to when he handed her a note so it might work. Think I'd try saying hello for a couple of mornings before trying it though!

If you hand her a note she'll either lose it amongst her papers, accidentally hand it out with a paper or forget who gave it to her by the time she finishes

Do not hand her a note, she wont like it i swear. What u need to do is be strong/confident and sexy and have the balls to strike a conversation with her, ask her what time shes finished at and see if shed like to meet for coffee.
Or alternatively come along some morning and hand her a cup of hot choclate and say "i bought u this, u look cold....hi my name is xxx, etc etc would u like to go for a drink after work
