Personally I think this was an interesting hand, others may differ.

SE Weds night 40+40+10 Scalp, Total Chips in play 210k, 20 min blinds all the way until 2k/4k when the time levels were extended to 30mins. Blinds were frozen @ 3k/6k level. 35 runners.

we are 4 handed, stacks were SB.c.90k, BB.c.75k., blinds are now 3k/6k.

Folded to the SB who has 9 9 - what is the preferred line for the SB and why?

SB completes and BB pops it to 23k. What is the preferred line for the SB and why?

    SB calls (Pot 46k),

    Flop K J 8,

    SB?

    My 2c.

    It was 5 handed.

    The payout structure is

    €1000
    €600
    €440
    €220

The SB has limped in unopened pots previously and outplayed his BB opponent on the flop/turn. The BB seems to have now decided to put in healthy raises if limped too in order to avoid being "outplayed"!! :p;)

were we 5 handed? jaysus I thought it was later in the night. Seriously did, I thought we were just after losing Sherman. Are you sure we were 5 handed? We hadnt reached 3k/6k levels 5 handed surely? Ah I was tired maybe we did.

Anyway - still think its an interesting hand.

Edit: Deffo not 5 handed, at most 4 and Sherman was there with 2/3 BB's, guy in seat 3 had been busted at this stage.

Now Brian don't be jealous I have enough love to share!! :p

This isn't a good hand to post imho. We'd been playing the FT for 2 hours at this stage and I'd been playing at Noel's table for 4.5 hours in total. Noel thinks I should have bet out and gone broke against his set or crai preflop (which was my plan for the limpage but I changed my mind for some reason). Noel's probably right and I played this hand badly. End of story.

Noel, Olly playing a hand badly is not news, actually it's pretty standard.

Olly, are you seeing people behind my back?

    I'm not happy.

I loved you in your xmas hat too.

Olly - i didnt post this hand to take any sort of a swipe at you, far from it, I actually think it was an interesting hand. I would have played the hand differently to you last night, I respect you as a player and when I see a player do something totally different to what I would do I always like to get opinions on it. As we both cant be right - I always like to get a better understanding of how a hand could/should be played.

I am also looking for comments on my 17k flop bet - you said that my flop bet would provide you with info and 17k looked like I wanted a call. In truth I was expecting a CRAI on the flop and I wanted to be able to get away from it pretty easily if you did do that but felt that given the stacks/blinds 17k was a reasonable bet. I also only meant to raise it to 18k preflop but through out the wrong amount of chips - an extra green one.

I had A8 double suited btw, and not a set of 8's - couldnt tell you last night as id ruin any sort of table image I might of had.

    No offence taken Noel.

I played it badly. I wasn't particularly happy afterwards but I had to try and move on from it. I don't think there is anything to learn from my bad play except maybe to raise your standards of what constitutes a decent player!!

How the hell can you have A8 double suited in Holdem? A8 offsuit, yes, but not double suited.

Probably coined in the SE by the same people who say 'Good shot' after their hand is beaten. WTF?

Are they part of the "I call for a laugh" gang?

who are friends with the "If you're not in you can't win" gang

The SE really attracts them IMO
