ive been in 2 clubs recently where the under raise rule is not in effect

ie Player A makes it 15 to go, player B calls, player C calls, player D moves all in for 20. When it comes back to player A he shoves the lot for 300. This is absolutely ridiculous. Is there any other clubs in the country where this goes on??

good for the rake though, I agree its nuts but can be exploited by a tuned in player. Cant have been the case for a tournament?

I thought all casinos/card clubs had this rule as standard?

    Which Club was it?

True, i used it to my advantage 2 weeks ago in a local tourney (not ours)final table, 1 min raise from 1st pos, I flat called with kk called in two more positions , sb all in for 900/1000 more (blinds 2000/4000) called bb, called first pos, I go all in 80k fold by everyone except sb who was already all in , kk stands up.

A good reason not to play somewhere they don't have a person in charge who knows the rules, but then again it is hard unless you are in Dublin especially to have a choice of other venues. You should really have a word with the person in charge of rulings about this.

One club is in Waterford and the other is in Wexford.

It happened again tonight, a guy raises to 14, 4 callers, short stack pushes for 16, original raiser shoves for 250. Half the table who know the rules went mad, the other half couldnt understand why we were going mad. The owner was called over and he said he wont change the rules unless all his members are happy with the change. Apparently it doesnt matter thats its madness and different to every other card room in the country.

Ive had this out twice mick in both clubs and they have said we are right , I then stated that there are only 2 rooms in the world that do this and they jsut payed no attention .... Both were palying at the cash table when it happened

Collusion is so easy here as u can cash in for €50 your mate €400

Position on the table is vital ,When u are down to about €20 someone raises to €15 leave it come around with 5 callers hopefully re raise €2 to €17 which is allowed in both clubs as They do not call it an under-raise u only have to raise min the big blind, Then back to ur buddy in seat with €400 he pushes for all to probably take it down there and thenand split it later .. Probably about €60 - €75 each time even if u do get a caller u can still play 4 cards and take the sidepot if all goes wrong

    Crazy rules

we actually said that to the boss tonight nicky and he said that it decreases the rake because the big all in re-raise scares away a lot of the action..??!!

ive heard you complaining about this as well neill, everybody who has a clue knows how ridiculous it is and its about time changes were made. the example of collusion you give above could easily be done with this stupid rule.
