    Hi All,

I am having problems connecting my Windows millenium Pc to my eircom wireless broadband. I have the 2247 Netopia wireless modem. I installed the adapter (Dlink wireless 108g adapter - DWL-G132), followed all instructions and I cannot get it to work. I do have a connection , showing signal strength etc and saying its connected. However when i open internet explorer it does not find a web page. If i put in a web address it seems to be extremely fast in just flicking to a "page cannot be displayed" screen. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong? any advice would be appreciated!

    Cheers

Thanks Irlrobbins, I appreciate the response!

No sooner had i the the message posted when I said i would try something else. This USB adapter came with a cradle like extension which i used to put the adapter into. On the off chance that this was the problem (no way did i think it was) i just put the adapter straight into the USB port straight and guess what - it worked instantly. The problem was the cradle, it was faulty, even thought the lights on the adapter were on indicating it was working fine.

    Thanks for your help!
