So, here I am with Aces up and this mofo minraises my superb bet. The guy is very loose so I'm thinking he is very bad too.

Hi min bet looks to me like he's trying to see where he's at with a decent Ace so I value bet his ass on the river.
Do ye think this river bet is fuego or muy fuego? Or am I spewing here worse than John Candy on Ipecac. Do you think checking the river is better. Would you call a $28 bet (into the $43 pot) if you checked the river?

    CO ($307.75)
    Button ($315.26)
    SB ($196.50)
    BB ($367.25)
    UTG ($231.25)
    MP ($394.95) [Mr. Flibble]

Mr. Flibble is MP with Ac, 4c
    Preflop: (6 players, $3)
UTG calls $2, Mr. Flibble calls $2, CO calls $2, Button calls $2, SB folds, BB checks

    Flop: 4d, 2h, 8s (5 players, $11)
BB checks, UTG checks, Mr. Flibble checks, CO checks, Button checks

    Turn: Ad (5 players, $11)
BB checks, UTG checks, Mr. Flibble bets $8, CO calls $8 and raises $8, 3 folds, Mr. Flibble calls $8

    River: 2c (2 players, $43)
    Mr. Flibble bets $20

I wasn't feeling the love over here so I posted the same question on another forum and have got some advise that I really don't agree with. A sign not to smite boards perhaps.
This is what I was told:
I don't think I like the flop check here at all.

I pot this turn, (11 instead of 8 here) I'm more likely to push re-raise the turn.

As played, I'd probably ... hmmm.. this river is interesting. I was thinking pot it, but in re-thinking check/call might be better.

If he was calling along with bottom pair and rivered trips it is your fault for not betting the flop like you should have.

Does anyone bet the flop with 4 other players in the hand. Seems like I'm just setting myself up for a very tricky decision on the turn, or more likely a very easy check/fold decision.

And push re-raising the turn with 150 BBs at the start of the hand (200 if we think BB gets involves) seems completely suicidal. I can't imagine AK AQ or less calling me, especially as it was a multiway limped pot.

Does anyone agree with the above advise, or should I stick to homely boards tips?

I would bet that flop. Checking is ok though, I think your bet on the river is ok but I prefer a check call given diamonds missed. Also I would bet more, 30 or so.

What board did you get that advice from? Its dreadfull

    2+2 SSNL!

Yes, betting 30 would be about 50% better I think most of the time.

Results were that he pushed to my bet on the river and I folded.
