do any of you boardsters play any freerolls or freeroll leagues?
before some of your sneer and utter the word crapshoot, there's plenty of +ev ones out there - recently I played in one where you could win an apc package [a mere 86 runners!!!!!]...

just wondering as I play the odd one and I am always keen for pointers to other fat freerolls..

as an aside, I have negotiated a free forum freeroll for my poker forum, which to which I would be happy to invite the boards.ie poker players to (if this is okay with the admins..) and anyone is interested...

I have started playing free rolls in the four aces in galway, as of last week. Second one tonight. Bit crap, but I don't have much choice and I like to play poker.

jeez playing a live freeroll would suck.. what prizepool?

theres loads of +ev freerolls online every night if you know where to look (have a nosey in my forum in the freerolls thread and you might decide not to brave the weather ;) )

I don't even know what the prize is. Heh.
It's pretty bad, and random, but a challenge nonetheless.
No net access apart from college atm and poorness, so freeroll will do.
As for braving the weather. The Four aces is 10 seconds walk from my front door. (:
If I get some net back, I'll have a look. My poorness extends to virtual realms.

I'm not a big fan of freerolls.

as an aside, I dislike it when people try to make what sounds like a casual post but are actually trying to draw attention to something else.

I don't get how there could be freerolls that are -ev

-ev freerolls to me are as follows:

    2,000 runners $200 prizepool... (10cents per seat)

+ev 20 runners and a 20k prizepool and (each seat is worth 1k )fee.

not the best example but you get my drift...

we were On topic. the topic- freerolls. I happened to point out that there are lots of freerolls, and (vaguely) pointed in the direction of one of my sites which has been fine for inclusion in my .sig - hence I didn't see a problem.

if it's free in and there's a prize pool it's gonna be a +ev tournament...

Try not to take it personally, it's the nature of all public forum conversations to turn bitter after about 3 posts. You got away lightly.

Be grateful the wolf pack mentality of forum posting didnt kick in and you become the paranoid victim of schoolboy* taunts!

Always, the final end, the original poster is in tears, the anonymous posters feel triumphant yet strangely unfulfilled and everybody else is just gagging for a pint.

i don't much like freerolls. i do have a curious thirst though.....

    * i use the word as an adjective not a noun. i am not anti-schoolboys. nor am i pro-schoolboys. i do not look at schoolboy websites. i'll get me coat...

Granted, but there are usually more profitable ev opportunities to be had in less time than it takes to get into the money playing a freeroll with a field of 2,000 players where they're all fighting to the death for that bonus $20.

I hear Paddy Power has some good ones. After all they have the best player reward system on the internet.

I know, I was just making the point that there can't be such a thing as a -ev freeroll...

lol, yeah you can't beat a $50 speed freeroll with 999players, or getting an xbox for 2million action points.

Meh... I'm not that bothered, just that personally I would probably have reworded your post as follows...
Gambling-Ireland are having a freeroll to promote our site - www.gambling...

I hope boards people don't mind me linking it here.

P.S. Check out the section on freerolls in our fourm

    im a member of pokerheaven.
there pretty good and have a daily freeroll. $200 first prize - so its not the worst.

easy to sign up and get started. plus dont have to give credit card details - always a plus.

since its freeroll a lot of people want to play. so you need to rgister as soon as registration opens. but its pretty good alright.

Might have been 100 with 50 to go, but I doubt it started with less than 500 and 20% of 1,000,000 still leaves 8000,000.
