    Hi,
First time posting in this section but it looks like people on here know what they are on about!

Anyway yesterday I got a pair of 30 day/night contact lenses...the ones that you sleep in and use during the day with no hassle for 30 days and nights before doisposing of them. I am trying them for 5 days and nights on, 2 off and then 5 days and nights on with them again.

So far I am not too imrpessed as at times they are uncomfortable and I have to blink a lot. Also at times my vision is not as sharp as it should be...lines are out of place and stuff...sli8ghtly only though but its noticeable.

I'm only in them 2 days and one night so will; this condition get worse or are people here with experince of them happy with them? I am very used to using daily disposable ones and they are very comfy...just wondering will these work out the same as so far it doesn't seem certain they will....

I recently discovered that I'm not suitable for laser eye surgery so I decided to go for contact lenses.

I'm an avid drinker and I typically pass out at night rather than consciously go to bed, so I decided to go for the 30 day continuous wear night and day lenses.

Has anyone else used these, and if so what has your experience been?

My appointment is this Friday. Any tips or advice?

Ive used them but stopped as the prescription wasnt strong enough (they dont do them in my prescription. I have astigmatism and amd -7.25, they only make them upto -6)

However when wearing them i found them fine tbh. Although it take a few days to get used to them as they feel slightly different to regular lenses. Opticians go to great lengths though to check you when you start to wear them from what I remember. (1 week, 1 month and 6 month reviews i think)

I also used comfort drops though when wearing them (which your optician will sell. Our eyes can naturally dry out which causes discomfort. They bottle costs about a fiver and should last a month. use the drops as required. I found it useful after a night on the beer and i always used them first thing in the morning.

As soon as they are available in my prescription i will be getting them again. But for now, its the monthly disposables.

I was told by my GP to take out the lenses for 24 hours once a week and he said that no optician would tell me that though!

Not everyone is suited to day/nights so if they aint working for you, let your optician know.
