Do the new Aer Lingus excess baggage charges apply if you have a connecting flight out of Heathrow with another Oneworld airline?

Aer Lingus aren't in OneWorld anymore, so that question is kind of not applicable?

Aer Lingus are still in Oneworld until April 1st.

It really depends. Do you mean excess baggage (over and above your baggage limit) or Aer Lingus' new charge per checked in bags.

If the latter, well if you bought a seperate ticket with Aer Lingus, and are just using it to fly to Heathrow to get your onward flight, you will probably be subject to their rules and will pay the €8 per bag at airport/€4 if pre-booked online.

If you booked the Aer Lingus flight as part of the same ticket/itinery as your onward flight, then no they won't charge you seperately for baggage.

If it is excess baggage over and above the weight limits they allow, then you will probably get charged in either scenario.
