How to display a photo for C&C from flickr

I for one prefer to see peoples' C&C photos
within the thread they started as opposed
to having to open a new tab or go to a different
page etc....

Here is what I usually do.:)

First (While logged in),
Click on the photo you want to display and then click
the "All Sizes" icon above the photo like here:


Clicking this icon will lead you onto the next page as
seen here:


Depending on the resolution of the original file you uploaded, you should see
the sizes above.
I would usually recommend using the Medium size option as it fits nicely
within the thread size, width, loading speed etc. So we click the "Medium" option.
Which leads you here:


Here I usually dont bother with the HTML part, I just go straight for
the photos URL.

So just copy the photos URL.



Click the insert image option on the boards.ie thread thingy:





Then Paste in your URL link here:




Preview your post, to check stuff.
And then you should have your photo available
for C&C and much more.;)

Part of the flickr terms of service is that you must link your picture back to it's photo page. So insert [url ] tags like below.

[*URL="http://www.flickr.com/photos/gristlyend/353013917/"][*IMG]http://farm1.static.flickr.com/153/353013917_4743641bb9.jpg[/IMG][/URL]
remove the * before URL & IMG shown above.

Or, if you use FireFox, have GreaseMonkey set up, there is a handy little scripty thing that generates the BB code on your Flickr site. Details can be found here at the bottom somewhere.

I just select the All Sizes button in flickr for the photo, then copy the location of the picture in the size I want it (Right click, Properties, copy the location (small, medium, etc) and put it into the
