cringe! my face is a bit lop sided - apparently everyones is a tiny bit. but when i wear glasses its VERY obvious. does anyone else have this problem? and how did you adjust your glasses to make it look less obvious? i have tried different styles etc but it still is obviously one eye is lower than the other when i have the straight glasses cutting across them. thanks for any advice!

When I first got my glasses the guy at the shop showed me that with most glasses (ones with the narrowish back wings) you can just bend the shape of the leg until you get to a shape where its straight across your face. You won't be able to do this with the big massive thick framed ones though.

Even if you can't get them perfectly straight most people won't see something like this. Have you started wearing glasses recently. You may be just overly sensitive about the look of your face with them on?

Most won't notice TBH.:) I've sat on and trod on my glasses so mant times, that it looks like my face is lob-sided.

Bending the frames is the way to go.

Bring them in to the optician and ask them to bend them for you. They heat up the part with the plastic covering (bit that goes over your ears) and can bend them pretty easily there and then. Try them on and get them to keep adjusting until you're happy. I'm surprised they didn't do that for you when you collected them! I wouldn't expect to pay for that sort of minor adjustment, they should have done it anyway.

I've got the same problem so here is a list of things that could possibly help

    1. contacts. I wear contacts about half the time. Soft ones are extremely comfortable.

    2. Push the arm of the glasses down over your ear on the "high" side and let it sit up on the "low" side. It helps that I'e long hair which covers this

    3. get a nude pair of frames where the metal/plastic is not really visable. I've a pair of frameless at the moment and you would harldy notice it even though it's normally over a cm drop.

    4. As with anything on your own face, you'll be a lot more aware of it than anyone else. Try not to worry too much.

Grow your hair a la emo or irish scruffy, covering everything.
    Or get contacts.

I have one ear higher than the other. I just bend the glasses until they look ok otherwise they don't look too good. its probably not that good for the glasses and you gotta do it in small stages so as not to do irreperable damage to them
