    Q: Can two televisions be worked of one satellite dish.
    ( in other words one connection two tv's one price)

    yes.
    But you can only watch the same channel on each tv.
    (you cant watch bbc1 on main tv and bbc2 on second tv at the same time)
    unless you got another box (multiroom)

    Thats not bad.
    How do you make the connection (what bits /pieces.)
    Can connection be left in situ once made.

    yup there is a rf connection on the back of the sky box (rf2)
    you can connect the second tv to this.
    if you install a 'magic eye' you can control the box from the other location (bedroom etc..)
    I got one on e bay yesterday for 5p!

    Is there another name for magic eye incase I have to buy one here and what would irish price be approx.

    Oh, it may have many names like "tvLink" "Sky Eye" etc.

    Price is I think about 10-15 euro. If you can, get a Triax branded eye, I find these the most reliable. Avoid the Samson branded ones!

    Ummm it IS possible to feed two televisions off a satellite dish and have DIFFERENT channels on each one

    Simply put a DUAL LNB on the dish run two lengths of cable to two seperate rciever boxes and voila
