Folks, looking for a suitable destination, maybe in Eastern Europe for a stag in late April or early May.

Poland seems to be a good spot, and Prague would be up there as well. Can anyone recommend something similar, or guidelines prices for hotel / hostel costs for Poland?

    thanks

    Eoin

Krakow is nice but nightlife might not be up to stag standards.

I'd look at the Baltic states, think ryanair fly direct to Riga now, its cool city with good pubs/clubs and it has a very large student popultion so busy during week as well.
Best of all its very cheap (unless you spend weekend in strip clubs!!) about €1-1.50 for a decent pint, with Vodka cheaper than water!!
Was there last while back and really liked it.

I'll second Riga. Great nightlife and just a good laugh. Tallinn is a real party city too but no direct flights and there's also Vilnius which is a great town to go on the piss in. Hotels are pretty cheap in all 3 and drink and food is good value too. If I had to pick I'd go to Riga because the women are absolutely spectacularly good looking! :D

Prague is good and a lot of people also recommend Budapest. All the places mentioned sound good. Maybe take our suggestions and put them in a hat and draw one out and head there.

Thanks a million for all the suggestions; think it's made the choice even harder!

Bratislava looks very interesting I have to say: "Armoured Car, Barbecue and Beers" :D

    HI Eoin,

I've been doing a lot of research on Krakow as we're going on our club tour there this March. It turns out not to be the most welcoming venue for stags and a lot of pubs (according to tripadvisor) have signs in the window saying "NO STAGS". Apparantly they're very proud of the culture and heritage and don't want it spoiled. Although they couldn't spoil it anymore than the Germans who visited between the mid 1930's to 1945!

Warsaw is pretty good. A group of friends went last year and had a ball!

Have a look at Brno in the Czech Republic. I've heard great reports.

Thanks Mike; I was thinking more Warsaw than Krakow, though that Bratislava deal looks excellent. Anyhow, it's up to the best man now - I've done enough leg work at this stage!
