I got a loan of a credit card last night and made an order on an English ,media goods website.

Basically I ordered a memory card ,cleaning pouch and pen like device.
Postage was going to cost 3.95 sterling .
But I got an email this morning stating that delivery charges would be £19.95 and would I still like to order.

I had to cancel ,30 euro to get an envelope of goods from england sounds odd.
Anyone shed any light on this?

Some companies do this, often they apply a standard delivery charge to outside UK orders, regardless of the size of the order. Dabs used to have a £20 surcharge for delivery to Ireland, but not any more. SVP used to also have crazy delivery charges to Ireland, it's a bit better now though.

    What was the company?

Thanks jor el ,the company was wareh0use express, in fairness they emailed me sharpish and let me know about it .

Personally I feel technikdirect are the best option for me ,22 euro seems like a fairly ok price for the amount of stock they offer. They also seem to have a decent live stock display ,so you know what to expect.

Is there any all round good supplier ,that is any cheaper? . I'm a newbie.

    Cheers,
    Brian.
