    Hi all,

I'm looking at the possibility of working for myself, taking a pay cut and living abroad for most of the year - and therefore be taxed as a non resident.

The only info i can find is the number of days you must be out of the country, i cant find info on how tax is calculated if you are a NR...

    any ideas?

    Thanks all

It's more complex than that. Look up the terms ordinarily resident and domicile.
You will probably be taxed on remitting the money to Ireland. Ie, moving it back to Ireland.

    Try askaboutmoney.com.

I'm not an expert so don't take this as gospel.
