So it seems the Wii can improve your health. Interesting resuts - although buring 125 calories in 15 minutes of boxing is hardly amazing...

    You beat me to it!

GOna buy one now and give up the gym memebership. The price should cancel each other out!

This is true although it beats the 0 calories you'd burn playing games the traditional way;)

It's worth a try. The video is great, didn't realise he was holding the remote and nunchuck till the end, nice touch.

Any chance this is a load of tosh?
ie - some fanboy making the device out to be far more than it actually is?
Or worse still some Nintendo marketing campaign?
The figures (without dieting or changing your lifestlye in some other way) dont appear to add up for me.

Its unlikely to be from Nintendo given the lawsuits that would emerge when its proved the figures are bollocks if they are bollocks.

Its more likely to be a fanboy joke or something to get attention.

It could be real (I have no idea) as the boxing game is supposed to have people wrecked by the end of it if they are unfit and play for a while so it is actually a work out of some kind I guess.

^^ ya no argument there, you really have to work yourself at boxing if you want to be good at it, way more than the other games thats for sure

What you have to do is basically time it so there's a little pause, like when you dodge a swing in a match, between your right swing and left swing when it hits the bag (or vice versa) , and then every dig should take down half the energy of the bag.

i can do most bags in one punch, i start off with like 4 in 15 then i can get about 10 in a row with one punch and then drop off, its quite frustrating!

I've actually noticed my triceps are tighter from the boxing.... It's the only thing I've reached pro status in so far (probably because it's the one I play most and the only one I play solo).

Doesn't surprise me in the least.
