    Hi everyone,

I know it is not a major issue at all but to me it has been getting so.

On my nose and around the part between the eye and my nose, I have been getting what can only be properly described as blackheads. I don't think they really are blackheads as such, more like pretty visible pores.
I want to get rid of them and have the same, nice and smooth complexion there that most have.

However how do I go about doing this? I am a very clean guy, shower everyday without fail, wash all of the time...its not a want of hygiene!!!

I have started using Nivea for men Face washes now morning and evening and also apply Clean n' Clear blackhead cleanser suing cotton wool, to that area every nigh before bed. Once that stuff dries in I apply Witch clear pore gel.

    Will this work?

    Hi there
I'd advise you to go and see a beauty therapist for a facial and ask their opinion. The more you mess around with it yourself, the worse you might make it, or it might not make any difference at all. It shouldn't cost too much - and it would be nice to have the peace of mind... And please don't think that it's only women who visit salons - they have Male Treatment Lists in most salons.
Failing that, you could fork out to go to a dermatologist if you are that conscious about it.
    Best of luck

Whatever you do mate do not squeeze them, you can do yourself real damage with sebum going into the eye and its surrounding area. You could actually be overdoing the cleansing, try some moisturiser instead and see if the skin settles down.

    Sebum getting into the eye????

I find you can squeeze pores on the nose without causing much harm if you get a facecloth, cover your nose in it and squeeze the general area through the cloth.

    how is that helpful?

I've got the same thing as you're describing. Tried a facial scrub for several weeks but didnt have a noticable difference so stopped using it.

You'll need to keep it up for longer than a week to see if it works.

Your skin renews itself every 28 days so they recommend at least a month, maybe 2 on a new skin care regime.

I would avoid too much Clean and clear as this can dry your skin out an awful lot. Try using a more gentle scrub every day, for 4 to 6 weeks and see if that helps.

Also watch the amount of greasy/fatty/oily foods you have in your diet. If you over do it, your body will tend to produce more oil which can clog pores.

Try E45 wash. Some face washes can be too harsh and may even worsen the problem. I don't know if this will work for blackheads but it always gets rid of spots for me
