Quick question re loading stock data on xbox live

I've spent ages setting up my team with preferred formations, movements, defensive attitude blah blah. I've saved it and it's obviously great to be able to load it up to play. This all works grand playing the COM but I couldn't use this saved data when playing online ... just didn;t give me the option. What's the drill?…
