    I'd give it a good play before you jump into it. Imo, it would never be worth close to the thomann price in the first place, going on the couple of sg specials I've heard.

    Indeed. Most of the Gibson "Special" models have a patchy reputation at best.

    At the current exchange rate, it'd be a little less than 420 eurobucks, which would be a pretty sweet deal, I'd say. Jesus, though, American guitar shops treat their stock really badly, so walk in there and pick out the exact one you want. I was in Sam Ash and Guitar Center in New York not too long ago, and every instrument had chunks taken out of them. Think Waltons, but five times bigger.:mad:

    cool price for the sg. i have one. had to change the pickups and now im lovin it! only prob is the lack of sustain but its a sg...what do u expect! u cant go wrong for 470 anyway!
