I'm just listening to a ripped CD there and the sound is not great on it. The rip went fine and I used 92kbps which is grand for me but I don't think I have perfected the equalizer on it and I don't want to use one of the pre-set modes as they are not to my taste at all.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

My preferred patturn on the sliders is: (nice full rock sound)

I would rip at about 160, why do you rip them so small?

Saves space and to be honest quality isn't too big an issue. I just want to get the equalizer right and I can't seem to crack it at all.

the way i do it is read the equaliser, as it starts to go red drop that one back(the neares corresponding dial) and if its to low near the bottom , rise that one. play around with it till the sound comes around.
    hope this helps:D
