How much do you spend on fuel a week?

I spend about 25 euro on average every 2 weeks with my trusty polo.

I never let the tank get below half full, a good policy I think. I get 200 miles out of her on half a tank so I fill up once every 2 weeks, and this is with daily usage.

Would be interesting to see what other people spend (dont forget to mention your car and usage level).

I pay about 60 euro / 60 litres diesel for 650 to 700 miles every 10 days or so, 98 A4 Tdi. I could never go back to a petrol car!

EDIT about 55 mpg, mostly 20 to 70 mile trips at about 100 KM/hr.

about 40euro per week for 180miles. never let the tank get under halfway on a sl500. couldnt face the 80euro top up from dry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,183 ✭✭✭Fey!

About €30-€40 per week (I only do about 13-15k a year at the moment). About 360 miles to a tank (€80 to fill the tank) all urban - will get up to 450/500 miles on a long run.

That said, the trip computer is telling me at the moment that I'm only getting 17.6mpg right now (urban), so there must be something wrong.

I think your opinion is irrelevant.

If the OP wants to know how much poeple spend, then he/she is entitled to ask.
If you want to know haow many litres people use, start your own thread.

I put about €50 in every 10 or 12 days, main car.
I put about €40 every 3 weeks, second car.

Over the past 13weeks I've averaged 329miles per week (even though work only works out at 200miles  didn't think I did that much other driving)
Well anyways, at 329miles currently averaging 44.47mpg, I calculate that to be €34.97 a week on diesel (@103.9 cent/ltr)

About 300 euros a week between petrol and diesel. Mpg figures weren't an issue when vintage cars were new and petrol seems to evaporate from them when they're sitting around. I had a Jaguar once and I would fill the two tanks and after a week both tanks would be bone dry, it didn't leak, it was in a locked garage and I had the only key. It must have been haunted or else it would sneak out by itself,Christine style, and go for spins, I never figured out which.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,863 ✭✭✭✭crosstownk

I fill once every 2 weeks and it costs about €55. I do a meagre 250km per week.
