    Semi-Pro Rules MMA
Thomas Egan (SBG) v Jason Muldoon (PCC) MW

It's my understanding that this is Tom's first fight, but he's been training with John Kavanagh pretty regularly for the last while. I fought him in a SW tournament so I know from first hand experience he's capable on the ground. I can only speculate at his stand up. I think he's giving away quite a bit of experience to Muldoon but I'm going to give it to him cause I like him

    Verdict Egan Round2 Submission (armbar)

Connor (SBG) v Ciaran (Antrim MMA) FW

Not sure which Connor this is. Or Which Ciaran this is.
    Verdict: Unknown

Karl Roche (SBG) v Stephen Sommerville (3 Castles) HW

Both big men, both very agile and quick with good submissions. Karl has a reach and high advantage but the proportions may make it easy for Sommerville to take it to the ground and be on top. Karl's fought before, successfully, while Sommerville's experience is limited to the league. I think this could be the deciding factor.

    Verdict: Roche by decision.

Micky (Donegal MMA) v Paul Cowzer (Shika) FW

I've seen Cowzer, boards.ie boxing extraordinaire fighting in the most resent MMA League and he had a real war standing up. So with the addition of head shots I think he has a very good chance to get the KO. Can't comment on Micky, never seen him fight, so this is a big guess

    Verdict: Cowzer TKO Round1

Barry Oglesby v Leigh Stewart (Antrim MMA) WW

Oglesby (roper) another boards.ie vet taking on the very capable Stewart. I've been arm barred and out punched by both of these guys so I think they both have what it takes to win. However, although this is Barry's first fight and Leigh's 2nd, I suspect Barry is the more mature fighter going into the ring in terms of experience.

    Verdict: Oglesby, Round2 Submission (RNC)

Gintarius Dominski (Thai/SBG) v Eddy Wallace (Donegal MMA) WW

I'm afraid I can't comment. Gintarius sounds pretty good :)

    Verdict: Gintarius TKO R1

    Thai Boxing

Decland Broderick (Chupasart Gym) v Philip Bourne 64kgs

    ?

    Pro Rules MMA
Neil Seery (Shika) v Steve McCombe (PCC) BW

Seery has a fair few fights under his belt and his performances have been improving with every apperance but I've seen McCombe fight and he looks ultra sharp.

    Verdict: McCombe Submission R2

Pearse Stokes (Fianna) v Kevin McAlonan (PCC) FW

Possibly fight of the night. I've never seen Pearse fight but I've only heard good things. But I've seen McAlonan fight and he's very very good. I think this could be a cracker. I think McAlonan will take it the opportunity arises on the ground but I don't Pearse will give it up for him on a plate.

    Verdict: Stokes Decision

Lukasz Sowa (PL) v (SBG) LHW

Sowa versus mystery opponent number 1.

Shane Thomas (Kokoro) v Jakub Stanoch (PL) LW
I think if Shane takes it to him 100% in the first round and relies on his strong striking credentials he'll take this.

    Verdict: ShaneT by KO Round1

Dylan Costigan (3 Castles) v Alan Seery (Shika) LW
Dylan, another slick grappler who has also done the time practising stand up. Seery is in-line for a win but I don't think it will come against Dylan.

Verdict: Costigan by submission (armbar) round1

    Thai Boxing
Kevin Douglas (Chupasart Gym) v Naoise o'Hare 72kgs
    No comment

    Cage Rage Qualifiers

Richie Moore (SBG) v Mark Leonard (PBS) LHW

This is another mouth watering encounter. We've got two men with big mouths and big hearts going at it at LHW. Mark has been in this game along time, he even has the grey hair to prove it. Richie has a lot of worldly martial art experience on his side too. Richie has a lot of good training partners in SBG to help him prepare as does Mark in PBS but Mark has the added inconvenience of running the gym. I think this could be a slug fest and could go either way.
    Verdict: Pending

John Donnelly (SBG) v Stephen Lynch (PCC) MW

Ok ok, I know I've used "fight of the night" already but this is another ultra-classy encounter. Donnelly at middle weight is a monster and has all the tools necessary, Muay Thai, BJJ, cardio. But Lynch, as shown in his last encounter up north, is a very, very good boxer and capable of winning by submission. Donnelly hasn't fought in a while, and Lynch has a lot of guile, but with youth and attributes on his side (not to mention skill) I think Donnelly is going to win, but it won' be easy.

    Verdict: Donnelly by decision

Owen Roddy (SBG) v Micky Young (PCC) FW

There's not a more active or gamer fighter on the Irish circuit then Micky Young (with the exception of club mate Greg Loughran). He's fought here, up north and across the water. However, the results have been varied but the standard, always high. However, if John Kavanagh is the Irish Helio Gracie, Colm O'Reilly Renzo, Dave Roache Hickson I think that leaves Roddy as Royler (and I suppose Clive as Hoyce). So Roddy, one of the most technical grapplers on the island with proven aptitude in other ranges is one of the most dangerous men at FW.

    Verdict: Roddy, 2nd Round, TKO

Owen Dempsey (NG) v Thomas MaGuire (Kerry) LW

Dempsey, already in-line to fight on the Cage card is a gifted competitor. Although, it would be foolish to underestimate the man from Kerry, I think Dempsey is a favourite to win here.

Verdict: Dempsey, submission (triangle) round 3

    Semi-Pro Rules MMA
Thomas Egan (SBG) v Jason Muldoon (PCC) MW

Id have to go with Jason on this one round 1 kimura

Connor (SBG) v Ciaran (Antrim MMA) FW

    Connor round 1 triangle..

Karl Roche (SBG) v Stephen Sommerville (3 Castles) HW

This will be a battle, both big hitters, karl has the height but steven is amazingly fast with some excellent standup and ground game- one to watch.
    round 2 ko sommerville

Micky (Donegal MMA) v Paul Cowzer (Shika) FW

guess with micky round 1 sub

Barry Oglesby v Leigh Stewart (Antrim MMA) WW

tough one, barry has some good moves on the ground with a backround in stand up while leigh coming from AMMA should be well rounded, these two fighters were supposed to meet before so Id say both men are eager to have a go,
    round 2 barry sub

Gintarius Dominski (Thai/SBG) v Eddy Wallace (Donegal MMA) WW

    Gintarius KO Round 2

    Thai Boxing
Decland Broderick (Chupasart Gym) v Philip Bourne 64kgs
    broderick decision

    Pro Rules MMA
Neil Seery (Shika) v Steve McCombe (PCC) BW

    steve mc round 1 sub

Pearse Stokes (Fianna) v Kevin McAlonan (PCC) FW

Another tough call here as both fighters very technical
but will have to go with kevin round 2 sub

Lukasz Sowa (PL) v (SBG) LHW

Sowa versus mystery opponent number 1.

Shane Thomas (Kokoro) v Jakub Stanoch (PL) LW

have seen Jakub in action in the mma league and is very much a controlled fighter on the ground, takes no bull and has great takedowns while Shane has a great striking backround with a few semi pro fights under his belt, will be eager to make an impression
    Jakub round 2 sub

Dylan Costigan (3 Castles) v Alan Seery (Shika) LW

Alan has alot of experience in ROT and will be eager for a win, while Dylan is making his pro debut, dylan is known for his skills on the deck but his standup is as equally lethal-

    Costigan round 1 ko

    Thai Boxing
Kevin Douglas (Chupasart Gym) v Naoise o'Hare 72kgs
    No comment

    Cage Rage Qualifiers

Richie Moore (SBG) v Mark Leonard (PBS) LHW

    Mark round 2 ko Fact!;)

John Donnelly (SBG) v Stephen Lynch (PCC) MW

    this will be a war!
    Stephen round 1 ko

Owen Roddy (SBG) v Micky Young (PCC) FW

Owen is really an all round fighter but micky coming from pcc you know he has all the tools, tough to call.
    Micky round 2 ko

Owen Dempsey (NG) v Thomas MaGuire (Kerry) LW

    Owen round 1 armbar

We need a boards.ie supporting team.

From the unofficial boards.ie team we have, Roper, Dylan Costigan, Mark Leonard, and Pearse Stokes.

They need a boards.ie cheer on the night, represent! lol
