Lads, just wondering if anyone has done the certified penetration testing exam,

If so, how difficult was it?

Any prerequisites required to undertake it?

    Any other additional Info??

    Cheers Lads

I'm attending a course there at the moment and we were told about this course. I'm a bit dubious about the actual certifcation that is rewarded at the end of the course.

Do you know what it is ? The University of Glamorgan in Wales has it listed that you can earn points towards a Post-Grad Diploma with this course.

Its a Post Grad certificate , not a diploma or a masters diploma

I know the guys who wrote this course from 7Safe www.7safe.co.uk and they are top of their game, excellent auditors and Pen Testers. They are one of the main oufits in the UK that do this sort of stuff. The one thing that I cant vouch for is the quality of the course presenter.

The course (from what I know) goes into a lot more detail besides NMAP and will look at Web Application Security and Testing as well as Wireless Stuff.

I am lucky and have been to the US on various SANS tracks/offerings in this area like http://www.sans.org/bootcamp07/description.php?tid=243&portal=dd7c0d0407b71316a158391ab5561054

but again a lot of it is based around the instructor. People like Ed Skoudis who present this course in the US are arguably the best in the industry.

Anyway as I said I can vouch for the content but necessairly the delivery
