A couple of hands

Since I've started playing loads of 200NL, I really haven't been faced with many very tough decisions at all, but since I haven't posted any hands here in ages I just decided to pick out a few at random. There really isn't much to these, but anyway.

Hand 1: Just sat down, no reads. Seems like an easy value shove

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB ($206.45)
    UTG ($51.70)
    MP ($206.70)
    cardshark202 ($197)
    Button ($110.75)
    SB ($217.70)

    Preflop: cardshark202 is CO with Qheart.gif, Qspade.gif.
1 fold, MP calls $2, cardshark202 raises to $10, 2 folds, BB calls $8, MP folds.

    Flop: ($23) Jspade.gif, 6diamond.gif, 6spade.gif(2 players)
BB checks, cardshark202 bets $18, BB calls $18.

    Turn: ($59) 4diamond.gif(2 players)
BB checks, cardshark202 bets $42, BB calls $42.

    River: ($143) 3club.gif(2 players)
    BB checks, cardshark202 bets $127 (All-In), BB calls $127.

    Final Pot: $397

Hand 2: Haven't been at the table too long, villain has been fairly quiet and has been playing something like 28/7 although this is only over about 30 hands or something I think

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP ($308.95)
    Button ($134.50)
    SB ($81)
    BB ($186.20)
    cardshark202 ($211.20)

    Preflop: cardshark202 is UTG with Qspade.gif, Qdiamond.gif.
    cardshark202 raises to $8, MP calls $8, 3 folds.

    Flop: ($19) 9heart.gif, 3club.gif, 2club.gif(2 players)
    cardshark202 bets $14, MP raises to $34, cardshark202 calls $20.

    Turn: ($87) 2spade.gif(2 players)
    cardshark202 checks, MP bets $60, cardshark202 raises to $169.2, MP calls $109.20.

    River: ($425.40) 7diamond.gif(2 players)

    Final Pot: $425.40

Hand 3: Villain has been super-aggro since we've started playing 3 handed and has been raising every button. I've re-raised him a few times already so its pretty likely he's going to try and 4-bet me lightly.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    cardshark202 ($256.15)
    BB ($100)
    Button ($360.30)

Preflop: cardshark202 is SB with KJo.
Button raises to $8, cardshark202 raises to $27, 1 fold, Button raises to $68, cardshark202 raises to $257.15

    Final Pot: $327.15

    1) Looks fine. Against good players I check turn bet riv.

    2) The 2 is a good card for you and makes this better but I still think we're getting stacked more often then not with no reads.

    3) I like. It looks like he 4bet a small enough ammount to get away from it. Obviously our hand could be a little bit stonger though.

    Hand 1:
I chk turn alot against a decent player..And against most I probably 1/2 por (bet $60) on river as alot will get away from AJ to the push//... So however you read him.

    Hand 2:
Again...Against some I will fold to the turn bet. But since you decided to get all in I like the way you went abaout it.

    Hand 3:
Hope you timed it well..I never play 3 handed.

Hand 1: I like and play it the same, although the River is a very thin Value Bet, does he call here often with xJ or 1010?? I probably check behind here too much.

Hand 2: I Don't mind, although I'd probably check call it down. I just think a player who raises our flop bet is more likely to bet All-In with a weaker hand than he is to call All-In with one and apart from the flush draw it's fairly dry, if I put a flush draw high in his range then I like the CRAI on the turn. And with a 28/7 over 30 hands, if his TA is over 3 then I CRAI, if it's less than 1, I might even fold. Depends really on how I'd been playing over these hands.

Hand 3: I like for metagame reasons. I think he folds here ALOT, and certainly enough to be profitable for the times we're called and dominated.

hand 1: why are we shoving here, do we expect unknown to call with a jack or worst? i check behind here.

    hand 2: agree with Amarillo

what could he have that beats us? Only guys that call with a hand that beats us here either have a sick read or are total fish. He cant have a sick read and if he's a total fish then value betting this river is good either way.

You can't win pots by folding. I try to win every pot I play.

If the above statement was true you would be the biggest contributor to poker worldwide probably.

Hand 1 I like. Defintiely an easy value shove.

Hand 2 Meh. Not a fan.

Hand 3 Usually works the first few times when developing a metagame with another opponent,s o I think it's ok.

I am totally missing something here. Why do we want to shove here? If we are to bet, why not 1/2 pot? I think we lose Jx or worst hands by shoving.

So me the error of my ways please...

If I'm betting I think anything other than shoving is pretty bad given the pot size and stack size.

    Results:

Hand 1 was kinda funny. He instacalled river with 33.
Hand 2: he had AA. I Guess I have to weight a flush draw heavily in his range for the turn push to be good.
Hand 3: he folded as expected.
