Contact Lenses & water sports

Not sure if this is in the right place so mods feel free to move it if it isn't.

I'm going travelling up the East Coast of Oz in a few weeks and will be doing some, but not a lot of water sports. Will be doing some surfing, a bit of snorkeling and maybe go to a theme park with water slides.

I don't want to spend a fortune on prescription goggles because 1) I won't be getting a lot of use out of them and 2) who wants to be the eegit on the surfboard wearing goggles?

My prescription is only -2.00 so if I have to go without them I won't exactly be walking into things but I'm just wondering what other contact lens wearers do in this kind of situation.

    Thanks

I do a lot of water sports and have tried a lot of types of lenses with mixed success. The best I've found are
    http://www.acuvue.com/products/acuvue2.html
They stay putt no matter what but they are quite difficult to get in as they tend to stick to my fingers rather than my eyeball. The other advantage is that they have a UV block for outdoors. I'm -2.00/-2.25 so similar prescription to you. They are weekly wear lenses so you leave them in for a week even at night.

I order mine from the USA as they are medical so not subject to import taxes. It's much cheaper that way.
