Hey all.

New, well not really, band in Dublin called Jack of Speed (name taken from a Steely Dan song, not my idea). Three of us have been playing together for about 5 years under various names and different drummers but have finally Settled on Jack of Speed and a drummer who isn't going to walk out on us or screw every fill up.

Had a gigging stint in town about 2 years ago but It didn't go too well, and I soon moved to Germany for a year which put everything on hold. We're back now with a new drummer, again not entirely new, and a brand new name. Played The sugar club in December under the name Sofa King and will be playing Pravda on January Thursday 25th although this is yet to be confirmed. We really just want to get out there and play. We have no real interest in the pursuit of fame or fortune, it may be a cliché but we just play because playing live is what we love.

Dodgy home recorded tracks have been put online for your listening pleasure, it's really just to give you an idea of what to expect from us. Please try not to bass your opinion of us entirely on these recordings. If you can, come to one of ours shows and hear the songs how they're meant to be heard. There'll be more songs going up soon hopefully. We'll get into the studio at some stage in the future but it's highly unlikely to be before the summer as two of us have finals to do :mad:
