If buying a Wii, Buy games separately

Here is a big tip if you are planning on picking up a Wii and some extra games/Wiimote from Game/Gamestop etc. Do not buy the Wii console and extra Wiimote/Games in the same transaction. Just buy the Wii and then the cashier will give you vouchers. Then in a separate transaction buy the Wiimote/Games.

Yesterday I picked up a Wii in Game and luckily didnt have enough money at the time to also get Wii Play & Zelda. However I got €75 worth of vouchers after buying the console. I then went back to game today and picked up Wii Play and Zelda and got to use 2 x €10 off vochers making a saving of €20. If I had enough money yesterday I would have paid full price for these 2 items as I would have bought them with the console and only got the vouchers after.

I presume there is a similar voucher scheme with Gamestop/HMV/Virgin etc ?

So you're one of the lucky ones! Went to Game last Thursday, they told me they'd have more on Monday (tomorrow). Got paid yesterday and went to Game to see if I could put a deposit down (I couldn't). They informed me that they got more yesterday and that they're all gone!

wii is sold out again all over dublin city centre. I guess sunday is the worst day but there shud be deliveries 2moro or tuesday

Thanks! Wiis are always only available at the start of the week. How do people get these? I'm in school all week and I'm sure most people are working as well. It's virtually impossible to get one!

That's quite a good idea.

Just remember, Argos have them for €250 (apperantly) and from what I have read they have pretty good bundle deals.

I pre-ordered mine in Xtravision on Friday,went in the next day without knowing it was in and picked it up!

Hmmmm... I picked up mine (+ extra nunchuck & controller + Zelda) from Game on the 15th and didn't get any vouchers. Bought it from Game on Dawson St., Dublin.

Should I have got some?
