I thought I read about an offer here a few weeks ago where the box was around €200, but I can't find it now, and I'm looking to get SkyHD ASAP (but not for €445!)

I also heard if you already have Sky and mention an offer to them then the box is €299, but again I can't see anything about this online, but would like to find out.

I do know that SkyHD doesn't cost €15 extra now if you subscribe to Sky+.

I was in Liffey Valley today and asked the girl at the Sky HD promotional stand about this - she was adamant that Sky are still charging a €15 HD subscription on top of the existing Sky+ one. The Sky ROI seems to confirm this too:
*Sky+ subscription required for Sky+ functionality. Sky+ subscription is free when you subscribe to two or more of the Sky Sports 1 and 2 or Sky Movies 1 and 2 (otherwise €15 a month). Sky HD subscription €15 a month.

If that is the case then its another fine example of rip off ireland! I'm still holding out for HD, the money just isnt worth it for a few channels (with nothing really on them I want to watch apart from 24!)
