To be eligible, the film must have been released on Irish cinema screens during the year 2006 (or up to the final date of closing of nominations). Each voter can only nominate a maxiumum of two titles for this category only. Any further ones shall be ignored.

Superman Returns - not so much for its box-office (which wasn't all that great either) but some of the critical praise from certain parts of the media was mystifying.
