British tax question

I'd be grateful if anyone can help me with this.

A friend works in England, and has had to have private orthodontic work to repair a botched root canal.

I'm wondering if there's any tax relief in the British system for orthodonstry.

(As you probably know, you can claim 'unreimbursed medical expenses' under the Irish tax system, using the form Med 1. I'm wondering if there's an equivalent in Britain.)

    Thanks in advance.
