    Does anyone have any idea if nintendo has plans to make usb keyboards work with wii?

    im sure that they will in the future well i hope they do and the make the opeara more computer like and then you can plug in your keyboard and type as fast as you can where as with wii remote it takes ages to type a message like this..

    I bet it will be some nintendo only brand... another money making idea i guess
    or a firmware upgrade (great things) making it able to detect ubs keyboards is that possible?

    They could but they'd have to want to and it isn't really worth their while given there is no money in it for them. A Nintendo branded one seems most likely but other than that they probably won't bother.

    Nintendo really want others to make tons and tons of accessories for it. So my guess will be that a USB keyboard might come from a third party.

    But it would probably need a firmware upgrade.

    hmmm hour about a mobile phone like device that you could text on and use as a voip..thru the wii...
