Ok, its been a few years since I've been to the states, so I thought might be an idea to post up here asking if there's anything I should be aware of before I travel in May of this year.

There's been so many changes due to "security" I thought its worth checking what I can or can not carry in hand luggage and what I may need document wise....with the exception of the standard Irish pastport I already have :)

So what can or can't I bring on a plane to the states?
I'm going for a week stay....

Your passport is all you need - you are given the usual customs and entry forms to fill out.

Luggage restrictions are the same as the rest of the world - you can bring hand luggage onto the plane - all liquids/gels etc must be in a plastic bag. Coming back we had to take off our shoes and but them on the conveyor belt which we didn't have to do in Dublin. Apart from the extra time involved at both ends it's fine.

    Enjoy
