I have just installed my media center and everything is running smooth, except a few issues, i'm hoping someone has seen these and has an answer :

1.) Online spotlight isn't what I was expecting, it's a picture of a lady with a remote and information about using media center. It's more of a help section than online spotlight, such as news etc.

2.) When I set my resolution to 1280 x 720 and restart the machine , it always resets back to 640 x 480. The card i'm using is a ATI Radeon running catalyst drivers.

    1) Online spotlight is not available outside of USA, change Internet Explorer language/country location to USA and it will activate, you are not missing much by the way.

    2) As for the display driver issue I'm not sure more ddetails what type of display is it and what type of connection are you using.

Display type is LCD panel and the connection is dvi to HDMI. I have had it running at 1280 x 720 on a previous install, but on the new install its just not taking.

TweakUI could have anything to do with it ? as it seems to be around that install when it all went wrong.

Never heard of TweakUI causing that sort of issue

And you say it was working beforehand..

Uninstall TweakUI and see what happens also update/-reinstall the Catalyst display drivers newest are 7.1 just in case something is up with the display driver.

Also you need .NET 1.1 installed, yes the drivers are supposed to be able to use .NET 2.0 or .NET 3.0 if present but it rarely works out right.

Messed with the catalyst settings..... clicked all buttons in the control panel. It seems to work now !
