Had my hands on a AGS 6-24x50 Vipir Illuminated Mildot today
and liked the look and feel of it. Looking through it
it was very clear. ANd it was solid feeling and a matt black finiish.
Its HUGE though Shop Price is 300 Euro
yet I can pick it up online from Optics warehouse for 180Euro.

Fighting the temptation at the moment to run back into town and
just buy it NOW!! Its alot of extra money but it would by easier
to be able to take back if I ran into issues with it or it got damaged
    + the whole gurantee thing.

Anyone know whats the best mounts/rings etc to buy for this if
I want to put it on a 452 varmint. If I order online I will want to buy
    these with the scope.

I have been shopping online for over 10 years and have never ever had
anything stopped by customs for duty/tax so I have not got a clue
what kinda prices you pay if it does get stopped.

You shouldnt get stopped for anything inside the EU def not the UK.

From what ive heard AGS make great scopes. I've got Hawke Match mounts on mine (CZ varmint) they look fine to me and do the job but you might want to consider something better Burris Signatures or something like that you'll more than likely need high mounts though.

    Thanks psittacosis,

Think I will make that buy online today the online store
takes the tax into consideration at the checkout which is great.
At least I can be oogleling at the scope while waiting for my Licence to go through.

You gotta a Hi-res pic of the full length of the barrell on yours so I can
see how it looks compared to the standard barrell ?
(can only find small pics on the web)
