After 2 x solid days of travel we have landed in Melbourne and checked in to the magnificant Crown Casino. Fully modern, amazingly tastefull, located in a part of town that is full of cafe's, bar's and resturants. The place is buzzing. This was worth the journey.
Within minutes of arriving into the casino itself a $100,000 2 x table tourney is just starting.
    Table 1. From the button.

    Jeff Lisandro
    Eric Lindgren
    Joe Regina ( Melbourne)
    David Benyamine
    Lee Neilson
    John Juanda
    Tony G
Tony Bloom (cant believe he's so small)

    Table 2. From the button.
    Daniel Nygreanu
    Kagawa Masaaki (Japan)
    Phil Ivey
    Gus Hansen
    Eric Seidel
    Roland de Wolf
    Mario Samparna (owner of mansion)
    Jason Grey ( sydney )
    Kevin O Donnell (Arizona)

Tournament had started only minutes when Mike The Mouth and John D'Augostino arrived.
Mike did'nt want to play but young John asked if he could play. The director who was standing right beside me said yes we will deduct 1 x blind. Great said John which table. $100.500 please said the director, dont have it on me said John. You cant play then explains the director. John kind of shocked looking approaches table 1, David Bejyamine jumps up from the table and immediately says to the director to put the guy in and he would give a cheque at the break. Director no can do. John says I'll be back in 10mins.

Chip counts after 6 hours of play.

    Kagawa Masaaki $413500
    Tony G $369000

    Erik Seidel $89000
    Jeffery Lisandro - Busted
    Jason Gray - Busted
    John Juanda - Busted
    Gus Hansen - Busted

    David Benyamine - Busted

    BEER TIME

As the evening wears on, Erick Lindgren has bought a round of beers for the rail. he looked at the floorman, and said "I'd like 31 beers - one for me, and 30 for the rail.' TD Brett Jones obliged, and everyone on the rail has a drink.

    Payout is
    1st $1million
    2nd $ 550k
    3rd $ 250k

    15 hours 32 minutes ago
Erick Lindgren - 1st PlaceErick Lindgren wins $1,000,000
After wearing Erik Seidel down for the better part of an hour, Erick Lindgren finally gets all of Seidel's chips in the middle pre flop. Seidel flips over Kh Jh, while Lindgren is in the lead, as he shows Ac , 7c. the flop brings some hope Ah 8d 9h, but brickage on the turn 6d and river 5c ends Seidel's night, and makes Erick Lindgren $1,000,000 richer. Seidel receives $550,000 for his second place finish

There's webcasts of most of the final tables and the 100k event on http://www.crownpoker.com.au/ , link on top right. There's no under table cameras and haven't seen any so don't know quality but might be interesting

Anyone else think it sick that a casino can charge AU$9000 for hosting a two table sit n go?

Not to mention it was a speed tourny, with some of the worlds best being the majority of the runners. Real value there ;)
