Internet Problem maybe Firefox

First off Hi all and my God this place is HUGE,

I recently, actually 2 days ago downloaded Mozilla FireFox. My problem is when on the Internet wirelessly using FireFox no problems, until my wife went on the Internet using IE moments later and nothing.
I was still connected to the wireless network but wasn't receiving or sending anything.
I couldn't figure it out so I used System Restore (back 3 days) and it said System Restore incomplete but it solved my Internet problem anyway.

After the fix, out of curiosity I closed down Firefox and opened IE, again the internet failed, and got it sorted with system restore incomplete again????

I have a new HP pavillion dv9088 (laptop).

Does this sound familiar to anyone or am I mad....

    Any help is appreciated.

It's extremely unlikely that the problem is with Firefox - much more likely to be with IE. Have you checked to see if "Work Offline" is checked on the file menu?

Yea Working Offline is unchecked. It was a bit more complicated than that,

Firefox was working then when I tried IE7 it wouldn't work, then when I tried Firefox again it to wouldn't work.

Now that was earlier today and all day yesterday and Murphy's law, just like that both seem to be working fine now.
I'm not to worried now that it's all OK but if anyone knows what might cause that to happen I'd be gratefull.

    Thanks.
