I don't think he made a DVD bjj-fighter, i think thats just a quick video segement he did. All his stuff is on his books, go to amazon and type in eddie bravo, you'll find them all.

His books are highly recommended. I have his first one, only just got it in electronic format but it's not supposed to be have as good as the newer one. I'm going to buy the newer one soon if I can find it.

Does anyone know what's the story with the rubber guard in BJJ (gi)? Does anyone really use it? Is it effective?

Yes, I cheapskated the same copy, probably from the same source too ^ :P

Nothingcompares - I'm not good with it myself, but I've watch a few competition videos seen it used. I think when you get to a high level with it, there are alot of cool setups for triangles, omoplata's, gogoplatas, locoplatas and what not. It seems to be a very transitional guard and very offensive, an alternative to the high guard. (which I suck at also)

I think you'll start seeing alot more of it since Aoki nailed Hansen with that gogoplata. Alot of people are talking about it.

Ah man the Eddies DVD is the best instructional I've ever seen. The reason it's so good is partly why it gets bad reviews online... it covers two moves.

First "old school" which is just a deadly sweep from half guard, this basically changed my whole ground game.

Second, the "twister" which is a submission, its horrible. There are a load of entries to it but he covers pretty much only one if I remember right, from the "twister side control".

He doesn't have a DVD on rubber guard yet but I hope it's coming soon.

    Peace

I use it all the time. I find that its an easy way for smaller people to tie up an arm while going for triangles, omaplatas etc. in guard. My favourite move to go for is the gogoplata.
I dont train with the gi, so I dont know if that would make a massive difference to doing rubber guard though.
