Garmin Nuvi 310 and Bluetooth

I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 310 sat nav, one of the key reasons I picked this one was that it had bluetooth capability too. I have a Nokia 9300i mobile and although I can make and receive calls perfectly, I can not synch my contacts. This almost makes it redundant for making calls at least.

I have searched Garmin and Nokia websites/forums but no joy to a solution.

Has anyone got around this problem?

    Cheers

    Cri

Sure. What you need to do is download a program for Nokia's 606 car kit. This fools the 9300 into sending it's contacts each and every time it connects with the 310d kit. I have a 360d, and it's the same. You'll get the app from Nokia.ie, under the Nokia 606 car kit downloads.

i work with those things they dont sync with all phones but you should be able to save and name all your numbers or else upload them from your com

    hope this helps

I too have just bought a garmin 310 and have the same issue in that my phone "Nokia 6680" will not auto sync with my garmin when i am using them with bluetooth. I see that you say you can trick the phone into thinking that the garmin is a nokia car kit.

You mention the Nokia 606 Car Kit but on Nokia.ie this is no longer listed but there is the 610 + 616 models. If either of these will do how do i go about using this software to trick the phone into thinking that the garmin is a nokia car kit. Do i put the software on the garmin or the phone?

    thanks john.

    *monstrous thread bump*

I'm having this exact problem with the 310 delux and my Nokia e65. Was anyone able to sort it out?

bumped again, this time in case anyone else is trawling looking for the same answer. I sorted this out for n73 & 310 as follows:

    - download appropriate application from http://europe.nokia.com/A4144399
(I used Firefox 'cos IE kept displaying .sis file rather than offering to save it)

    - delete bluetooth pairing with satnav from phone

    - install the downloaded program on phone using PC Suite, it alows an option to run in background when installing (this helps....http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/software/Nokia_Contact_Do wnload_ug1.pdf

    - pair the satnav with the phone, all contacts are copied across automatically

seems to have worked ok for me so far

Thanks dogbert, I just used your advice to pair a Nokia 6120 properly with a Garmin Nuvi 310. Worked like a charm. :)

The 760 MP3 player will play only MP3 files.
If your files are .wav, .wma, .aac, or anything thats not .mp3 they won't play.
You will have to convert it to .mp3 format
