Compag Evo n800c screen problem..

My friend has a Compag Evo n800c laptop and the screen is a bit messed up..there are lots of vertical white lines. It is so bad that you can't even read the names of files/folders.. This is hardly a problem with windows and I have no experience with compag so i'm just windering has anybody here had similar problems? Does…

sounds like lines of dead or stuck pixels to me but im no pprofessional sounds like it needs to be replaced yes
