Anyone know of a good site to upload recordings for others to download. Have a gig here, it's about 1Gb in size. Recorded in PCM format on a Minidisc.

Register a gmail account and get the gspace plugin for firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon.php?id=1593 This will allow you to use gmail's 2.5gigs of storage space to upload/download huge files. The downside is, whoever wants to download your stuff will need to have the username/password for that gmail acc and the same firefox plugin.

Google is you freind on this one. Finding storage isn't a problem it's a question of finding a free one that whill let you handle files as big as one gig. I use www.box.net . They have a facility whereby you can include a public folder in your storage that is either open access or by password. If you dedicate it to music it also includes a basic player so people can either download or press play for a stream of your audio. One thing you could consider is breaking up your file. 1 gig is alot for anyone to handle and getting to your favourite bits could be a bit of a nightmare. Let us know what you settle on and what it's like and I''l include it in the resources thread.
