Countdown clocks in signatures

Are countdown clocks allowed in signatures? It doesn't matter whether it is a continuously ticking one or one that gets refreshed when the page itself is refreshed. I suppose the continuously ticking ones would be classed as animated and therefore not allowed. Edit: Something like this Countdown to the Student Poker…

Tickerfactory.com ones appear to be ok. Just make sure that the dimensions and weight are within the limites too, i.e., 125px X 350px and =<20K.
