FTP server help

    Im creating an FTP server at the moment i am using iss manager on windows 2003 server i have configured the site and selected allow anoymous access
    i have opened the ports on my windows firewall. when i try to connect
    FTP:\\ip address I am getting ask for user name and password. Even if i put in my username and password it throws up again asking for the password. Its defiently seeing some part of my machine if i stop the ftp service and try to connect i just get a page can not be displayed. Anyone any ideas i am using ntl router do i have to cofigure anything on the router + how do i do it?

    Is the ftp:\\ just a typo Eoghan?

    It should be ftp://

    nah it is still the same i was creating new ftp site when i deleted the new one and used the default it worked ok
