Hmm was tired so decided to give this a go. While I admire it for doing something different with the teen movie formula, I hated the way it had rom-com moments that completely ruined parts of the film -
    That dinner speech? Thumbs down
    .

That said, it did do some things right - some decent leads (Elisha Cuthbert anybody?), a good few tangents in unexpected directions and so forth.

But another case of a perfectly servicable film ruined by Hollywoods temptation to wrap everything up in a rom-com package.

Im really tempted to watch Heathers again now for some reason.

Frequent funny bits, Timothy Olyphant, and Elisha playing a filthy cum-guzzling whore. What more could you possibly you want from a film?

Watched a few minutes of it. The spikey haired dude from 'Go' was pretty good but the rest was just garbage. They should have just instead made a full movie starring spikey and then cyphoned off 10k or so to make a seperate hardcore porno with Elisha Cubert. Then everyone would have been happy and no-ones time wasted.

He reminded me of a poorer Joshua Jackson. And Joshua Jacskon is REALLY bad.

It has elisha as a porn star. 1 of the best plots for a film ever.

Ah come on it was never supposed to be like a godfather film.

IMO I thought it was a great film. Brilliantly captured the exuberance of youth and its role to play in society in the future or how it wants to play a future in society! If you watch this film and dont remininse about your youth then you must have had a very boring childhood/teenage years

Very easy going to watch film. Great sound track too. Not very arty but **** off and watch a very long engagement etc (I liked that film as well by the way)

    yeah christ lads,

your man was supposed to be wooden, some contrast in his character when he took the e tabs

that Timothy Olyphant was the best character i ever saw in a film, i still can't figure if he was evil in it or not

elisha cuthbert was never going to be nude in it

now can the people who didnt enjoy stop posting such agressive responses so the people who did like might come out from hiding and comment

I for one actually really liked the film... so much so i have it on DVD.

Fantastic soundtrack... any film which crams in a quite alternative mix of Queen, Elliott Smith, David Gray and The Who is a plus in my book.

Timothy Olyphant is fantastic in the film.. but i liked him in practically everything he's done. Fantastic comedy actor who's disappeared as of late.. but think i remember seeing him in Deadwood.

Unfortunately, the rest of the actors do fall a bit flat. Elisha Cuthbert is merely there for the eyes.. her comic moments in the film consist of a wry smile to camera. Emile Hirsch puts in a decent leading man performance but comic abilities are lacking.

Overall, it was a nice change from the teen comedy standard.

I really enjoyed this film. It was really funny, unpredictable and had soem good acting in it (particulary on the deleted scenes on the dvd, if they were included the speach scene would have been much better). Adimtabely the first 10-15 mins were total pants, but the rest of the movie makes up for it. A pleasent suprise.

He was Seth Bullock in Deadwood. He's currently filming Live Free or Die Hard and after that he's playing Agent 47 in the Hitman film.

I would recommend checking out The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy. One of his finest films, with a great supporting cast including Zach Braff, Dean Cain and John Mahoney.

I bought it on DVD cos it was €5.99 and I thought it might have a bit of tit in it, but it didn't.

    Dreadful

Buy a porno if your horny ffs.

Thought it was decent enough...entertaining anyway. That's the main thing. It wasn't made to win an Oscar

Wasn't expecting much from this at all when I watched it on tv the other night. Which is why I was surprised I enjoyed it.
Ok it's not perfect by any means and did we really need two airings of This years love in the film?
But it had some very funny scenes such as when the guys neighbour bought him a lapdance.
Good music (mostly). I like that song Take A Picture by Filter, and Echo and The Bunnymen in there too.
