NTL newbie question

I'm just moving into a flat here in Dublin7 and have a few cable questions.
Having never used cable before (Had Sky Digital in my old place), I'm pretty
annoyed that it seems the Sky Sports channels aren't available at all on NTL
    analogue?
I'm in a one-bedroom flat, with 3 other flats in the same house. I just have the one NTL point on the wall. I'm just wondering whats involved in installing NTL Digital?
As in, can I just get it installed off the point in my room, without the need
for paying for the other flats access to the service..as the landlord currently
    covers the basic NTL bill?

Sky Sports hasn't been available on analogue NTL for something like three years at least.

My advice is to check with your landlord first. If he/she is like most when I rented; the odds are there's one signal being shared over the three flats while the landlord is paying for one connection if any.

If that's not the case, and each point is being paid for legitimately, you should have no problem in getting the landlord to pay for the digital as long as you pay him the balance each week / month.

A separate digibox would be required for each point, so people in the other flats will not get to see the digital channels unless they also pay extra.

You should look into the NTL Digital and Broadband package it is onlly 35 euro a month and is a great deal. I have had it 1 year and its great, you can pick out the additional channels that you want!
    :)

what part of D7 are you at ? digital might not be available in your exact location.

i live on ratra road dublin 7 and i have ntl digital and broadband. if you want sky sports just open a separate account for your room and have ntl install a new point (you'll need it) for digital to work properly. i had to do this but it works perfectly...even anologue is much clearer now with the new point than it was with the old point. i think the new points have a signal booster/filter in them.
