Multi sites, is it worth it?

I have accounts on umpteen sites, at this stage only play 3 of them with any degree of regularity Party, FullTilt and Tribeca(just ppp and gjp at da mo) network.

I think people doing the whole tribeca bonus chasing makes sense as you are used to the software, the players etc.

But beyond that I think it's a distraction to be spreading your poker across too many sites. It kinda dilutes your goals if that makes sense.

    just wondering any thoughts?

I play on Stars, Tribeca and Full Tilt. Dont bother with anywhere else. I've only recently started whoring Tribeca bonuses as I've started putitng alot of hours in online again.

I am the same, I just opened up loads of accounts ages ago. I probably have accounts on about 15 sites. There are several reasons why this is stupid.

    1. I lost out on bonuses on most of them because I didn't think it through.
    2. I don't play online enough to enjoy them all.
    3. I really only play regularly on about 3 sites, and one more than the rest put together.

I'm the same. I have accounts with at least 10 online sites but play mainly on Tribeca, Stars and PokerSyndicate.com. I've started to play with Titan again recently because they keep giving me free money to go back to them plus they have nice reload bonuses and free entry tournies. I just hate the interface

Once you set up the multiple accounts correctly in the first place and don't waste any sign-up bonuses or RB opportunities, I don't see the harm in having multi accounts. What difference could it possibly make??

Unless you're talking about having your Roll spread over a load of accounts, I'd usually only have my roll spread over 2 or 3 accounts, I'd usually have money on Stars if I fancied a decent Satellite or Tourney or whatever. Maybe a bit on some other site I might play, but I'd have the majority on the site I play the majority of my Cash play.

What do you mean about how having money in different skins might "Dilute your goals", surely it only dilutes the goal people might have about developing some notoriety for their SN, which is hardly people's goals, although I've a feeling I'm miles off??

Well certainly I don't think there's any harm if done right, the thing is though if you go for maximum bonus, trying to hit this can divert a lot of your time, on a site where you are less familiar with your win rate is inevitably lower imo than the sites you are more used to and I think it just diverts your attention from doing your daily thing.

So maybe setting a realistic bonus target is a good idea so acheiving it doesn't take up too much of your time and then as you say you have an account on a new site and it does open the chances to play more satelites, tournies etc, that's fine really.

I think you misread my post here, I didn't say different skins, I said different sites, in fact I was saying that the bonus chasing on Tribeca DOES make sense. And when I say 'dilute your goals' - maybe not great choice of words - I mean as a full-time player getting too out of step with an overall successful routine is -EV I think.

Ahh, now I see what you're getting at, well I suppose this is one of the draw backs of Bonus Whoring, you substitute + Bonus money for a possibly lower Win-Rate. I suppose people get to a certain point with their Win-Rate and levels where they're not really bothered about bonuses.

Certainly I was never too bothered about deposit bonuses, (I probably should have been though) because I've always thought that the amount of hands and time needed to clear them, that my Win-rate and RB was much more important than some (usually crappy) bonus was.

Although having said that, up until recently I was always hopping around sites, not to chase bonuses, but just to stop the regulars getting to know my game and always be thought of as a Fish/ sporadic player (i.e. a relatively unknown sitting at the table), however I'm starting to change my opinion recently, and I now think it's much more important to know who the huge donating fish are than it is to be thought of as a fish, and to out-shark the sharks at the same time as taking the easy money off the fish. (Which is what I used to do - well at least the sharks for the 1/2 and below levels that I inhabit anyway) I'm now thinking it's so much easier to just avoid the sharks and follow my favourite donkey fish around.

Ah apologies, I did mis-read that part, I thought you were referring to people Bonus whoring Tribeca.

I'd agree and I'd say for a professional certainly bonus whoring would be very low on their horizon and would probably make up a very small amount of their income. A good RB deal and their Win-Rate should be where their bread is buttered I'd have thought.

On the topic of Tribeca and bonus chasing.... I'm playing PPP at the mo but don't really get anything out of it except for action points. Can anyone post/PM a list of current Tribeca cash bonuses? I really only need to know the biggest one that each site does... I'm currently earning about 20k-40k action points a day.

Also, does anyone know what the story with opening more than one account on a certain skin? For example, I have an ancient VC account that I never use - does that mean that I can't qualify for bonuses from them now?

Doyles has $550 plus Super system 1+2 for 165k points
Vc has 50% free up to $1000 for 125k points(i think) so another $500

and Full tilt has 100% up to $600 but i hear it takes awhile, although if your playing high stakes it shouldnt

I agree but I think it's a very personality dependant issue.

Without doubt, I was just throwing this thought I had out to see what opinions were.

Paddy Powers have a $500 bonus. Why are you playing without a rakeback deal on Tribeca when generating 40k action points a day? Thats crazy talk.

Ya tbh, I've not been managing a roll on tribeca until now - it's always been stars and FTP. I've been doing reasonably well in the 5/10 and 10/20 omaha lately and I'm going devoting my time to Tribeca. PPP is my RU$TY account and I really use it just out of convenience. I'll switch over the next few days. I've been talking to Mike about GJP and I may go there. I think I'm right in saying PPP don't do rakeback/weekly bonuses???

    Yeah PPP do neither.
