Integrated Digital Tuner

    Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but here goes...
I just bought a new 42" Plasma (Philips 42pf5331) with an integrated digital tuner and cam slot. My question is this: Can I do anything with this thing??? I've noticed I seem to be able to pick up RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and TG4, and all Irish radio stations through the digital setting (I'm guessing that this is our version of freeview?). I've tried putting my NTL card into the slot to see if I can pick up the digital service directly (and freeing up a scart socket) but it doesn't do anything. Is there any way of utilizing this feature in Dublin?
I know nothing about this kind of thing, so sorry if my question sounds a bit thick...

If you check the terrestrial forum it will explain to you about Irish DTT Project

You can only get NTL/Chorus Digital on their box. There are three incompatible types of Digital (more really, but this is simple exp.)
    Cable
    Terrestrial via TV aerial
    Satellite.

MMDS Digital depending on band, Country and area can be any of the above three main types.

    Thanks for the replies...
Am I correct in assuming that I need some sort of satellite dish to utilize this tuner? What's a CAM? And is there any sort of card I can buy which will add to the "functionality" of my TV?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, could a mod please move?

The integrated digital tuner is just for Terrestrial digital broadcasts (DTT) via the aerial. What you have at this moment in time (the TV and radio you mention) is what is available using that tuner on your TV. Separate tuners are needed for Digital cable and satellite, with set-top boxes being nearly the only practical option.

CAM stands for Conditional Access Module, basically the module can decode a card for subscription/pay TV.

Others here might advise on Dragon CAM's and such, I'll leave the floor to them if they reckon a Dragon CAM might work in this TV.
