    Hi ,

My Dell Inspiron 6000 crashed and when i rebooted it no longer recognised my corsair usb flash drive.

When I plug it in I get an error message as follows "USB Device not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."

I've tried the usb flash drive in a different machine and it works fine, so it seems like laptop is the problem

    Any advice appreciated.

Plug your Flash Drive into the laptop with the issues.

    Then...

    You could try looking in:

Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Device Manager

Check to see if there are any devices with a yellow exclamation mark beside it that relates to the USB Flash Key. If there is then right click and remove then reboot your computer with the Flash Drive unplugged. Once rebooted plug in your Flash Drive and that should hopefully have sorted the problem.
