System with USB

Im just trying to buy a small basic system for dining room living room area. Was looking at 3 different Logik systems, all around €119. They sound ok, but what is really neat is you can plug in your memory stick and play all the files from your pc without burning them.

Im surprised to see none of the big names have this facility. I wonder will they soon?

Also one of the logik systems doubles as a dvd player, complete with scart socket! And another one lets you record (encode) from the RADIO! Imagine your favourite show converted to mp3s! Would an hour long show be just 1 mp3 though? Or would each song be a seperate mp3?

Now if I could get one to do that AND double as a dvd player! Any info on Logik, what are they like?

Dunno what you mean by big names but I've seen Sony's and Philips Micro's that do that.

Sorry about the lateness of the reply - avoid Logik like the plague. I have one of their systems with USB reader, they're feckin' useless. CD drive is noisy. LCD display has lots of pretty backlight colours available but unfortunately is invisible unless you are looking directly at it. The USB stick reader isn't bad though, and it also plays data CDs with 100+ MP3 songs just fine.

Still, if you really want one, wanna buy mine? :-)
